Applications for WIC in Idaho are handled through the local public health districts and two Native American health agencies.

Complete the assessment. At your appointment, WIC staff will review your documents, conduct a health screening (including a blood test for iron levels), and ask you about your dietary habits.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for Idaho WIC, you must meet the following criteria:
Idaho resident: You must live within the state of Idaho.
Categorical eligibility: You must be in one of the following categories:
Pregnant women
Breastfeeding women (up to one year postpartum)
Postpartum women (up to six months after birth, if not breastfeeding)
Infants and children under five years old
Income eligibility: Your household income must be at or below 185% of the U.S. Poverty Income Guidelines. If you are already enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you are automatically income-eligible for WIC.
Nutritional risk: A health professional must determine that you or your child are at "nutritional risk". This can be a medical condition, such as anemia, or a dietary condition, such as poor eating habits.
